Mosquito Abatement For Your Pittsburgh Property

Mosquitoes are a common problem in the warmer months of the year, and they’re also one of the most annoying problems of summer. Nothing ruins an enjoyable evening outdoors like a hoard of hungry mosquitoes. Even a sudden rainstorm is preferable to getting covered in itchy bites. Furthermore, those itchy bites can lead to dangerous diseases. Thankfully, you don’t have to deal with an overabundance of mosquitoes on your Pittsburgh property anymore.

Our Mosquito Control Process

Pestmaster® Services of Pittsburgh’s mosquito treatments target the adult mosquitoes where they rest during the heat of the day. Mosquitoes favor shaded areas, such as in foliage, shrubbery, bushes, and grasses. We’ll use a backpack misting machine to apply a fine mist to these areas to eliminate the adult mosquitoes. This treatment takes about half an hour per half-acre of land.

In addition, we’ll make recommendations for reducing breeding grounds on your property to decrease the number of areas where female mosquitoes can lay eggs to help in our efforts to significantly reduce mosquito populations around your property.

Mosquito control is typically not a one-time treatment. Because mosquitoes can enter your yard from neighboring properties, there’s no way to eliminate the mosquitoes on your land entirely, but you can reduce their numbers to far more manageable levels. To do this, we’ll return to your property every month during mosquito season to re-treat your lawn and keep the mosquitoes under control.

If necessary, we’ll return to your home within 30 days of your initial treatment to perform a re-treatment. However, only one treatment is usually required to reduce the mosquito populations on your property for a full month. If you have too many mosquitoes on your Pittsburgh property, contact Pestmaster® Services of Pittsburgh for a mosquito control treatment today.
